I already know what I want. To sit at the sushi bar, watch Masaharu Morimoto prepare the most expensive omakase while drinking a bamboo caraffe of Morimoto’s Junmai Daiginjo sake. All the while remenising about the original Iron Chef. Maybe he’d split a bottle of the Rogue Morimoto Soba Ale with me?

Did the Morimoto thing last year – so worth it, esp going omakase. Tuna, oysters w/caviar, grilled lobster, kobe beef, 13 courses in all if I recall. Morimoto was working the sushi bar, very good host, talking all night with the diners. The other chefs were just as friendly.

OK, I have plans for going to DC sometime next summer, I’ll make sure to make a side trip up to Philly to complete this goal. I’ll have to leave my gf behind though since she’s not big into sushi, the timid girl.
