Batanes

Lighthouses, beaches, caves. Need I say more? ;)

of course we did extensive research, prior to going on this trip-of-a-lifetime. but batanes still had quite a few surprises up her sleeve. at each place we went, she showed us a different facet to her beauty, immensely more awe-inspiring than any of the photos we had seen before. batanes does not disappoint.

heard that batanes offers something new to visitors (other than typical white-sand beaches with crystal blue-green waters)... seems like a very interesting place, and batanes is as far north as a pinoy can go and still be in the philippines :)

the first time i saw the famous lighthouse, it really makes my mouth hang…but, unfortunately,it is far because im from mindanao while batanes is in the upper part of the map…but, i know someday i can take me picture with that romantic lighthouse…

I’ve been dying to go to this place for years but nobody wants to go with me. I heard that this is one of the most beautiful places in the Philippines. Beach, seafoods, nature, etc. I’ve seen the pictures and I fell in love already, I can’t wait to see the real thing..

upon seeing the sights of this place…it literally captured my breath…its so peaceful…the scenery is great…still undamaged…hope it will remain intact forever…

Batanes is not a party place but it’s where you can go to experience a different kind of travel high… the kind that leaves you in awe of the knowledge that such beauty, simplicity and tranquility exists.

... it’s the Europe of the Philippines. And I want to see it for myself. :)

I’m actually planning a trip to Batanes sometime November and don’t know where to start. Any suggestions on what to do and places not to be missed. I’ve only got 3 days to spare for the trip.

Is Batanes safe to visit?
