Bricktown

On a subsequent trip to Oklahoma City about a month later I had a chance to visit Bricktown again. It is a nice area, and one of the restaurants where I ate had some nice food, but I thnk that I’m going to change my vote to “Not Worth Visiting” and I’ll explain why.

On this visit I went to Bricktown alone to find a place for dinner. I was disappointed at the real lack of restaurants in the area. The whole area seemed like they were trying to copy the Riverwalk in San Antonio. The only problem is that there really isn’t the same historic feel and festive type of atmosphere that is found in San Antonio.

There really aren’t enough restaurants in the area. I had to do a lot of walking before I found one that I liked that was open. No, I’m not a really picky eater, it’s just that a lot of the restaurants were closed. There were a number of bars open, but I’m not really into the bar scene.

Perhaps these restaurants are open on weekends or perhaps on game days, seeing that this area is adjacent to the baseball stadium.

It looks like it has the potential to be a very nice area, but it still has a long way to go.

I went there with several colleagues for dinner.

Bricktown is a redeveloped area of the city that was previously a bunch of old warehouses. it is now a nice entertainment area.

I dont really know aobut Bricktown… Just that I work there.

The nightlife coulnd’t get any better than this. There’s fun for families, singles, couples, and teens. With attractions with everything from movies to clubs, no one lose

The family and I enjoy strolling along the water,playing in the fountains and stopping by a restaurant to eat!I especially love Chelinos chips and salsa!Checking out a baseball game or taking a carriage ride is also nice too!

It’s a great place to go for the festivals (like the reggae festival in August) and other events that are there, but not for regular weekend partying because parking is expensive and the clubs really aren’t all that. However, everyone should ride the water taxi at least one evening (GORGEOUS!!) and everyone should go to a Redhawks game.
