Best place in Asia. I call it the Asian New Zealand, since I find it so peaceful and serene. Its also so beautiful, I want to go back!

The most magical and beautiful place i’ve ever been. Nepali people are the most generous people you’ll ever meet. The scenery is amazing and it’s a world completely away from ours. I hope to one day live there for a year.

I’m off to Nepal for 6 weeks at the end of Feb. I’ve booked onto an organised trek for the first 3 weeks to do the Annapurna circuit and then the following 3 weeks are free to plan when I get there. Does anyone have any recommendations for “must see/must do” things? I hope to go to the Chitwan park, do some canyoning and hopefully spend a few days learning about meditation/buddhism etc. Know of any places to do this?
Also, I’m wondering just how cold it’s going to be! Will I need those thermals even when the trek is over and I’m at a lower altitude??
Any advise is welcome.. Raidie

I just returned from a moving medical camp/trek in the Langtang area. It was awesome and spectacular. I would definitely endorse going. The trail we were on was challenging enough, with great views of the snowcapped peaks, with great camping spots. The people were super friendly too.

My nan went here and she loved it, when she was ill just before she died she kept going on at me that I should go to Nepal. She was very well travelled throughout the world, but Nepal held a very special place in her heart, and now it holds some importance for me to go. Hope to get out there next year.

I worked in the Chitwan area of Nepal last year as a volunteer. It was a superb experience. The people are so incredibly friendly and I want to go back. I miss my friends and family there.

In my mind it’s a mysterious place and totally different from my living situation. I’m curious about this country.
