South Africa

We are going to South Africa in 2010 for the world championship of football. Not so much for the football (that’s for the guys), but to visit. My friend is originally from Botswana, and he’s been in South Africa several times, so we’re going to get our very own, personal guide.=)

Well, we booked our tickets into Johannesburg and have the contacts for two different bus services to Pietermaritzburg and Cape Town for our 2 1/2 weeks in South Africa. We’ll be there in just one month.

Hubby and I plan to be here in November as part of a mini-tour of the southern part of the continent. We’ll have between 1.5-2 months, but of course there is never enough time to do everything one wants to do when traveling :)

Trip of a lifetime

amazing nature and had fantastic time there, me and my friend went from jo.berg, to Durban and stoped in villages in between, the oceon view is spactacular.

The only thing expensive about South Africa is getting there from Europe. Once you are there food, drink, accommodation and transport are all very good value for money. You can really afford to push the boat out… we had fillet steaks on a very regular basis.

The weather is good and if you experience rain or storms, these are quite a spectacle in themselves. Do the game parks and drag yourself out of bed in the mornings for guided tours. The guides know when and where to find the animals and can identify them too.

Have a splash in the Indian Ocean and then in the Atlantic.

I went to Africa about a year ago, but I can remember it as clear as ever. One day my mom, dad and brother went to Kruger’s National Park where you can drive around on a trail and watch lions and other animals in their natural habitat. We went out in Kruger Park to an area where you can get out of your car and buy some food. My brother saw this cute little monkey in a tree and tried to give it some food. He got really close to it, the monkey sniffed it and barred it’s teeth just about to bite the food when my bro. freaked out and ran. The monkey chaced him into the car and snached up the piece of bread he droped and ran back up the tree.
