Because of its southern position in the Caribbean Bonaire has a very dessert like feel to it. Easterly winds prevail all year around and create EXCELLENT surfing and sailing conditions! Sorobon beach is a perfect example of this. Perfect conditions for both beginners and pro’s.

Because of its volcanic nature, divings is close to perfect on the west shores. Steep walls of corals, sponges and beautiful wild life which includes sea turtles, dolphins and whale sharks!

Excellent diving! Friendly locals! Wild donkeys! Whats not to like??

Bonaire is a great island. It’s a bit of a sleepy island and has a mellow atmosphere. If you like a quiet, tranquil place and if your in to nature, scuba diving, surfing and other watersports, you really should visit Bonaire. I’ve stayed at a great friendly bungalow. The most beautiful place in the world, and while you’re there, you MUST go SCUBA diving….absolutely breathtaking.

I worked on a yacht here for a little while taking people sailing and snorkelling. Although I was travelling and working on the yacht for free, the customers would give me tips. Getting paid for having an ace time and a doss lifestyle is brilliant.

Bonaire is really beautiful and still holds as the best diving I have ever experienced. Go there, dive and marvel at the undersea beauty of this island.

The diving is superb, it’s a very small island which I love, and the food is stellar.If you go make sure to try the croquettes, and the chicken satay! I also love the Dutch colonial architecture. The salt pier has amazing diving, and the mounds of salt are beautiful too. There are flamingos in the salt lakes around too which make for stunning pictures. The slave huts are hauntingly striking. The beer in the N.A.’s is called Amstel Bright and it is a very good light beer, the only beer in the world made of salt water (de-salinized of course) although I heard they are going to be halting production of it soon, so get it while you can!
