National Aquarium

The aquarium is phenomenal, but your time is best spent exploring the facilities. Unless your kids threaten never to forgive you, skip the dolphin show.

I was seven or eight. I haven’t been back since. All I remember is the sharks. I love sharks. I would like to go there again so I can remember more than the sharks, but that will have to be the next time I am in Baltimore.

I went there for a birthday with my best friend at the time. I have always had a strange fear of fish and he took me there to help me. It didn’t… I actually had a panic attack but it was a good idea lol. -Kimberleigh

I’ve had so much fun everytime I visit the aquarium.

I haven’t been here for a while, but I used to go here more often, especially when I was a kid. good times, especially the dolphin shows. :]

I have visited many an aquarium, but our National Aquarium sure is a shitty one. The dolphins basically live in a pool (blue paint and all), the dolphin show was a sad agility like course with cheasy corresponding videos, and the rest of the aquarium was so lame, that I don’t even remember it. If you are looking for a good aquarium, try the one in vancouver or seattle.

wow! we went last weekend, the 26th of august and it was fun!! i wouldn’t recommend going at the end of august—it was packed. BUT we bought our tickets online the night before and got a coupon to park and got right into the aquarium—no problem! no lines for us! it was really neat!! definitely recommend it! and we got the fleet pass to see the Constellation, the Korsk, and the other ships in the harbor. They were really neat. Had a great time!!

The National Aquarium in Baltimore is wonderful and located right in the Inner Harbor. There’s Manta Rays that swim in an open tank, a pretty creepy Shark exhibit that spirals you down to where the water is deep and dark enough for the beasts, a Rainforest exhibit perches atop the entire building complete w/ poisonous, bright-colored frogs, a sloth and birds. Just recently an entire new building was completed as an addition to the Aquarium depicting animals from Australia (it really is impressive). And if you plan your trip right you can even take in a dolphin show!
