Decades ago..was Caesar's was The place on the Strip...  — 1 month ago

I used to go to Vagas at least once a year as I would drive to California. Visited all the casinos. Saw two shows a night! Way back when, it was wonderful. We dressed for the shows. Cost back then was more like $20 to $40 full dinner or 3 drinks etc. BB King played for you to see for free in a lounge. Lounge show Harry James and Pete Fountain and others came out of the audiance and had a jam session! Elvis sat behind me 4 rows in a show..I waited outside the side door of the Stardust until 3 am.. with about 10 other people..he came out and nodded his head at me..and got in his mink lined royals royce. Saw all the big stars back then and the huge shows. Back when downtown had hot slots and all the free drinks and 50 cent huge shrimp cocktails! Walked everywhere until wee hours of the morning. I did it always by myself. Certainly something to experience!

I visited this hotel with my sister about two weeks ago and I found it to be one of my favorite hotels on the Strip (the Venetian and Luxor being two others). The ceiling is just beautiful and I found myself thinking I was outside a few times :) There is also a HUGE Fao Schwarz store including a Trojan Horse that you can step inside of! There was also a large piano that you are free to play on like in the movie BIG and that was like a fantasy come true! haha. The viewing of a show including fire, fountains, and statues, a diver feeding the fish in the large aquarium and a dinner of Tiramisu cheesecake rounded out my most wonderful day in Las Vegas!

Extravagant decor everywhere. I won 60$ on the video roulette here.

My first visit to Caesars Palace was May of 2005 to see Stevie Nicks in-concert on her Gold Dust Tour. It was also my first time to see Stevie on a solo tour. It was an amazing experience I’m not soon to forget….

A review of this place: Walk through, but other casinos are better  — 2 years ago

    Worth visiting!

Caesar’s Palace was once the gold standard for Las Vegas casinos, but that time has passed them by. I don’t like to gamble there, but the forum shops are worth a pass through and maybe some lunch. Their sports book is very comprehensive and a decent place to bet. For more information, here is my review of Caesar’s Palace.

    1. Must see the blue sky. Check the stores and enjoy the atmosphere.
    2. The talking sculptures are nice but don’t expect too much.
    3. Check the caesars palace casino review with video clips.

A review of this place: The Forum Shops  — 2 years ago

    Worth visiting!

The Forum Shops are found inside Caesar’s Palace. Caesar’s boasts shops that include Abercrombie & Fitch, Gucci, Roberto Cavalli, Versace, Guess, and many, many more. At the end of the shops is a big stage with animated Greek gods that perform a show every so often. They sit above a large aquarium with live fish of all sorts. There are also restaurants within the shopping area. Caesar’s also boasts an arena/concert hall where many events have taken place.
