Cortez

I am moving here in June. It will be the first place I have ever lived outside of the city I was born and raised in, so I am nervous. I am not really sure what to expect from this city,
but I do know that I would like to have a summer filled with adventure. I love camping, and I would love to do some exploring and maybe a little treasure hunting?
If anyone has any ideas or advice, or if you know anything about this place, please let me know!

I went to Cortez three summers ago, to go to Crow Canyon Archæological Center for a school trip. Cortez is a nice little town, a little dry, but they have a wonderful pool.

this is a gateway to Mesa Verde National Park, and is a wonderful place to spend the evening. I was here in 2004, and we watched Harry Potter and Prizoner of Azkaban in an adorable old movie theatre there.
