Marquesas Islands

I read The Wrecker by Robert Louis Stevenson and that book made me want to visit. Plus I love the idea of seeing a place where cannibals once feasted…is that gross? Well, creepy anyway.

I went here on my honeymoon and loved everything about this island adventure. We went not knowing what to expect, but we found hopitality and seclusion at the only resort on the island of Nuka Hiva. The resort only had seven bungalows (did not see other guests the entire time we were there). Tours of the island were personal, just us and the tour guide, and very relaxing and fun.
I cannot wait to go back to the best kept secret in the South Pacific.
