Mini America in Mexico, so not much of different culture stuff there. But the ocean is beautiful. You can have a relaxed holiday at one of the hotels on the strip, almost every hotel faces the ocean.
Super expensive!
Oh it has great night life. I love their bars and the dancing.

Make sure you visit Tulum, which is a ruin by the ocean. Try to make it a day-long trip, and go in the ocean, it is beautiful.
Make sure you hire a guide at the ruins, it might seem like you can visit them on your own, but you learn so much more if you have someone explain it to you.

Don’t stop for friendly instructions at the airport. Just get in your cab/bus and go to your hotel. They are trying to rope you into day trips and such. They’re nice as can be, but ignore them. Go straight to where you’re supposed to meet your transportation. They aren’t as helpful as they are selling you add-ons.

I had been here just last week. Loved every bit of it. Couldn’t get enough of the blue, aqua and turquoise colors of the sea.
One thing I wouldn’t recommend is the snorkelling

I went to Cancun summer 2005. I wasn’t looking forward to going because I was going with my parents and siblings. I am soooo glad I went for it was the best vacation I have ever been on. We stayed at a small hotel not in the hotel zone, but only 8 mintues away via free bus shuttle. My sister and I spent one evening at Senor Frogs but we really enjoyed hanging at our resort dancing at the bar in the lobby. I suggest that if you can go all-inclusive, then do it!!! We had a ball eating what we wanted, when we wanted to. We hung by the pool for hours and then chilled in our rooms for hours more, talk about REALXED and RESTED!!!
We got massages at our sister resort and shopped the markets for gifts for family and friends back home. We truly had a wonderfully enjoyable experience.
I also recommend you take a small trip northwest to Xacret. It is about an hour away but you can snorkel through underground caves!! They have a butterfly hatchery, sea turtle hatchery, and they even raise sting rays for re-release. They put on a great night show showcasing the history of Mexico.
I love Cancun and I will be going back next year with my freinds to clebrate turning 30!!!

CANCUN IS A MECCA FOR ANYONE UNDER 30. THIS IS PARTY CENTRAL, YOU CAN NOT HAVE A BAD TRIP TO CANCUN EVEN IF IT RAINED ALL DAY AND ALL NIGHT. I DON’T EVEN REMEMBER GOING TO A BEACH IN ANY OF THE FOUR TRIPS I MADE THERE. SPRING BREAK IN CANCUN IS CRAZY, DRINKS, DRUGS AND CLUBS, THAT IS A GOOD SUMMARY OF CANCUN, IF YOUR LOOKING FOR A RELAXING FAMILY VACATION IN MEXICO TRY COZUMEL.
