Why I recommend this place to locals — 2 years ago
Worth visiting!
The Rud is a cool place to visit, even if it is on quite possibly the seediest corner in Old Louisville (Oak & 4th is a wee bit scary…). I especially like their special events, like poetry nights and local theater groups (Souvenier was really, really, really funny). We’ve seen some really cool things there. Food is decent too, especially the burgoo and the beer cheese stuff. And you’ll always meet someone interesting.
