I go here every year for about two weeks, and it gets better every time :]
There’s a really nice beach I go to in Pennard called Three Cliffs Bay and you can only get there by walking, so not many people go there, which is great :]
Mumbles is really nice as well, I’d recommend the whole area.

I spent 2 months there this summer and I am moving to Swansea this September. It is a beautiful place. I definitely would suggest going to The Mumbles and having some Verdi’s ice cream. All the locals seem to love Joe’s much more.
The Quadrant (the mall) isn’t worth much, but they have a ton of stores that we don’t have here in the states.
The Gower is UNBELIEVABLE! There is really nothing like it. The beaches here are amazing. Rhossili and Caswell are beautiful. Nicholston beach is difficult to get down to but lovely once you are there.

I’ve been a student here for four of the last five years and I love the place. Amazing beaches that get better the further up the coast you get, the town has an active nightlife, especially along the Kingsway and on Wind Street. An excellent place for students (the university was recently voted as having the best student experience in Britain) and while the centre of the town may at times seem a little drab it really comes alive on certain nights.

i studied here for 10 months my sophomore year of college and i loved every minute of it! it is a pity, though, that the music department is really no more at the university.

    Questions about this place

hannahgrace26 asks, “I'm looking at studying abroad in the UK, and would love to hear more info on Wales, especially Swansea. I prefer to study somewhere small and quiet, but not completely desolate. How does Swansea compare to other places in Wales? Is it safe feeling? etc.”
