Worth visiting!

Singapore  — 9 hours ago

On our way home from Holland in 1989, we had a 3 day stop-over in Singapore. We stayed in the flashes Hotels I’ve ever seen & we had an awesome view of the harbour & down town from our bedroom window. We went to the beautiful bitanical gardens, on a bus tour around old Singapore & went to the local market. The food there is lovely & dirt cheap. It was huge fun & we had a blast, but we were there just long enough to think of other places we wanted to visit. I didn’t want to leave.

Holland  — 9 hours ago

I’ve traveled to Holland twice. I was only 7 the first time we went, so I don’t remember much. My mum, dad & older sister immigrated from there to New Zealand by boat in the mid 1960’s, so I’m a 1st generation kiwi & most of my extended family still live in Holland. 1989 is the second time we went there. I have heaps of photos, but sadly they’re in hard copy & I don’t have a scanner, so I can’t post them here. I’ll conduct an experiment & see what I can do about that.

Worth visiting!

Paris France  — 10 hours ago

In 1989 I spent 3 days in Paris with my mum & my aunty. We camped in a tent & used the metro trains to get around, because the traffic there is a nightmare to drive in. If you visit Paris, I suggest that you park up your car somewhere safe & do the same. The public transport system is wonderful over there. Be warned though, it helps heaps if you can speak French, because most people either won’t or can’t speak English. You also need to ask crystal clear questions, because otherwise they’ll send you off on a wild-goose chase. Seeing the amazing sites there is worth the hassels though & I want to go back.

Brisbaine & Queensland  — 10 hours ago

11 Years ago I went to visit my younger brother (In Brisbaine) & my birthfather (in Queensland). We spent Christmas with my dad. It was awesome & we had heaps of fun. It was also great to talk with my dad & get several things off my chest which I had issues about.

Wonderful “diner” food, full of greasy goodness! Always filled with colorful people. A good spot to stop and take in St. Paul.

As seen in such films as “A Prairie Home Companion,” “Mighty Ducks,” and “Jingle all the Way.”

Prices have since gone up. It’s now $40/hr for 1-4 people and $50 for 5+ people. Still a great deal for a great place.

There IS another person floating around in this website. I’ve been here for 3 days now & this is the first contact I’ve had with anyone else. Thanks, Preci28.

Interesting that you got somewhat rude people w/o using French. I was there in 2001 and didn’t know any French and had a wonderful time with very helpful people.

You can go to Belcarra Regional Park. There is a Kayaks rental in the park and the on site tutors.
